4. Home Responsibilities Protection (HRP) Claims
HRP claims involve correcting gaps in your National Insurance record that may affect your State Pension.
You may be eligible if:
You received Child Benefit or Income Support while caring for a child or dependent between 1978–2010
You are a woman who:
Had a husband turn 65 before 17 March 2008 and receives less than 60% of his pension

You confirm:
You understand HRP eligibility and accept responsibility for verifying your status
You agree to provide supporting documents as requested
You authorise us to liaise with HMRC and DWP to update your NI record and pursue arrears
You understand there is no guaranteed outcome, and final decisions rest with HMRC/DWP
We typically complete our HRP processing within 6 weeks; however, resolution and payment from HMRC and DWP can take between 6–9 months
5. Solicitor or FCA-Regulated CMC Referrals
If your PCP mis-selling claim was handled by a solicitor or FCA-regulated claims management company, they may have referred you to us as a tax agent to process your R40 claim.
In these cases:
We may receive your Final Response Letter and limited claim details from your representative
Your data will be handled strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy
The referral will not affect the outcome of your tax claim or the fee charged
6. Fees & Payment Handling
No Win, No Fee applies
Our standard fee is 40% + VAT (48%) of the total refund received (including HRP claims)
Minimum fees apply:
£25 (incl. VAT) for tax refunds
£50 for HRP refunds or arrears
If the refund is below the minimum, we retain the full amount
Before releasing any refund:
You must provide ID, proof of address, and bank details
We will attempt to contact you after 48 hours, 14 days, and 1 month, and continue for up to 12 months before unclaimed funds may be donated to charity. If you contact us later, we will assist you in recovering the amount.
A £19.99 reissue fee may apply if payment needs to be re-sent (unless due to our error).
For HRP claims, our Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) will set out all fees and must be signed before your claim is submitted to HMRC/DWP.
