About The Firm

MLJ Accountants was founded by Matt Johns, a qualified Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience helping businesses understand their numbers, meet their obligations and plan confidently for the future.

Raised in Bideford, North Devon, Matt always knew that finance was the career path he wanted to pursue. He began by completing a period of work experience at a small local accountancy practice in Bideford, later joining the same firm to undertake his AAT studies and qualifying at just 20 years old.

Soon after qualifying, Matt set his sights on completing the ICAEW Chartered Accountancy qualification, which led him to join another local firm based in South Molton that later became part of a top 10 private equity-backed accountancy firm.
