About The Firm

Heidi, a qualified CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Member in Practice, began her career in finance over 22 years ago as a purchase ledger clerk. Over the years she has gained experience across all areas of the finance function, for various companies and industries up to Finance Director level, including recently facilitating the multi-million pound sale of a group of companies.

Heidi also has a wide breadth of experience supporting other operational functions including legal commercial contracts and HR support.

Heidi has strong analytical skills & strategic skills, knowledge of operational processes, the ability to take a business-wide point of view, professionalism, and business ethics.

Heidi set up Heidi Simms Accounting Solutions to help support and add value to growing SME’s to analyse and understand their numbers, without having to invest in a full time management resource.

Favourite systems include D365 Business Central, Xero & Sage, but is extremely adaptable and has gained experience in others over the years.

In her free time, Heidi spends most of her time with her family exploring the outdoors, gardening, swimming, walking, drawing, and painting.
