Neil Ellis is a senior finance professional, who leads all service assignments for Ellis FR.
A graduate of the London School of Economics and Manchester Business School, Neil trained as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, qualifying in 1994. Working on the audits of public companies and fast-growing private companies, Neil became a Senior Manager at Andersen before specialising in transaction due diligence. During this period, Neil was the lead engagement manager on several IPOs and major acquisitions in the technology sector.
Neil founded Ellis FR in 2002, working initially with former Andersen clients. Over the past two decades, Neil has delivered high quality accounting advice and solutions to many organisations from technology start-ups to FTSE 250 PLCs. Over the years, Ellis FR has built up a strong reputation with Big 4 accounting firms, private equity investors and other key financial players.
Neil's experience includes industries as diverse as semiconductors, financial services, business services and utilities. However, in the last decade he has developed a deep expertise in the telecoms sector, obtained through significant projects in the Mobile Broadband, Fibre Optic Infrastructure, and Data Centre spaces. This has included acting as Director of Technical Accounting & External Reporting for EXA Infrastructure in 2022-24.
