About The Firm

My name is Clare Shaw MAAT and I am the founder of Clear Accounts UK.

I have worked for over 15 years in the Retail and IT business sector, the last few years of which have been spent working for the finance department of an IT security firm.

My business philosophy is to provide bookkeeping and accounting services that are straightforward, clear and friendly.

Entrepreneurs and small businesses should be busy concentrating their efforts on the core of their business not trying to keep the books balanced and ensuring HMRC and Companies House deadlines are kept. This is where I come in.  I can help a business with all of its bookkeeping and accounting needs and as the business grows provide management accounts to ensure that the business is heading in the right direction.  Several years as a retail merchandiser before going into finance has firmly grounded my knowledge giving me greater awareness of what happens at the front end of a business.  To this extent I know the importance of cash-flow, budgeting, forecasting and cost savings as well as making sure the books balance.  I have a passion for numbers and will happily tailor make a service for each client based on their requirements.

I am a member of the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and a registered Member in Practice.
