About The Firm

Acumen Professional Services Limited is a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants owned and managed by Christopher Field FCCA. We are based in Purley, Surrey, and specialise in helping small limited companies with their accounting, book-keeping and tax planning. We have been trading since April 2000 and most of our clients tend to be small professional firms.

We recently re-branded our business and offer our services through 2 trade names - Acumen Accounting and Acumen Tax Solutions. Both are run by the same team and are part of the same business, but each brand is aimed at a different sector of the market.

Our clients are a pretty diverse bunch, operating in many different sectors including travel, energy, telecoms, IT, risk management, marketing and various others too numerous to mention. This has given us a broad experience of client needs across a wide range of business activities.

We are particularly keen on working with new start-ups. Our ethos is to treat all our clients as individuals with their own specific requirements and we aim to provide a dedicated and individually tailored service to each one rather than expecting them to work within a uniform accounting environment where one size fits all like so many of our mass-market competitors.
